  • Police called to turn down kids' disco!

London, Aug 20 ANI: A kindergarten disco party playing kiddie tracks "Bob the Builder" and "The Chicken Dance" were asked to turn down their volume after the noise control police raided the venue.Teachers running a party for under-fives at One Tree Hill Kindergarten in Auckland were shocked after the council noise control officer threatened to close the event down if they didn't lower the volume.Francesca Bell-Booth, one of the teachers said that she was surprised when the officer told her there had been a complaint because several of the babies had slept right through the party."It just strikes me as pretty absurd. We're planning to frame the notice," the Telegraph quoted headmistress Lisa Gordon, as saying.A spokesman for Auckland City Council said: "The noise was deemed by our noise control officer to be excessive."The music could be heard two doors down the road."The noise control officer asked the kindergarten to turn the music down, not off entirely," he added.
